Laboratory designed for the extraction of environmental DNA (eDNA) in land and aquatic ecosystems

Colombia, a country rich in natural resources and biodiversity with one of the greatest number of species per square kilometer and access to both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea was the ideal scenario to install the IMeBIO plug-and-play laboratory for the analysis and preservation of biodiversity, integrating eDNA new technologies for sampling and monitoring.

This laboratory will provide greater regional independence in the treatment of corresponding samples, always meeting the best standards in terms of quality and safety, eliminating the possibility of contamination both for the environment and the people working inside the laboratory.
